With the promise of ice cream after, I got my little men dressed in their Easter outfits for some festive Easter pictures. I had wanted to do the photos earlier this week but last weekend we had a random snow storm (not very springy) and this week we had quite alot of rain. But today the sun popped out nicely for us to get some cute pictures. And of course we got ice cream after! They did very good and I was happy how cute the photoshoot ended up. The Art and Design District of Carmel Indiana is just such a cute place with tons more photo opportunities I can’t wait to try out.
Jake is excited for the Easter bunny to bring him a basket this year as well as going to church and having Easter dinner with his Granny and his Grandpappy. Liam just likes to do whatever Jake likes. Liam does love anything that has candy involved so he will be excited. I always love seeing the look on their faces when they are sooo excited for all the different Holiday’s fun. I hope you all have a most wonderful Easter weekend.
OMG! How is my little baby already 18 months old??!! Time really does fly by faster and faster. My littlest little man loves running and laughing. He’s not much of a talker yet. Although, he randomly surprises us with full sentences every once in a while saying things like “What are you doing Dad?” or “Read this!”. He isn’t a fan of snow and cold so he is happy its getting warmer. He can be pretty independant already but in the same breath can be soooo clingy to me… he’s still my little baby. He is kind and loves his animals. He loves giving sloppy kisses and wrestling with his brother. The wrestling drives me crazy and I am always worried someone is going to get hurt but they are usually laughing so hard. He is a very very picky eater and can some how create energy from nothing… Not sure how he’s growing so much. He loves making driving noises for cars, trucks, chicken nuggets and many more. He loves his big brother and everything he does. We just love seeing who he’s becoming every day. There is something super comfy about wearing distressed flared denim and a thermal for spring time. I like to mix up the straight leg with flared leg sometimes. A bit of a throw back style for the unpredictable temperatures of Spring time in Indiana. And they make running after boys look cute without having to wear leggings all the time. I really love flared denim! 🙂 Just a little mommy style to throw in because it is just something I enjoy and want to do more posts about.
Happy half birthday Liam! Hope you all have a great Friday and rest of the week. Until next week, XOXO.
My best friend threw a Christmas Pajama themed Friendsmas party and I was sooo excited to get all my boys matching Christmas jammies. There were tons of cute family pajamas everywhere but I really love the classic buffalo plaid look so I got us these. They turned out so cute all together. We even got Emma a little doggy bandana… sorry Tiny cat but I didn’t see any matching cat shirts. I was a little sad after these festive pictures turned out so well that I already made and sent out Christmas cards. I will just have to remember this when doing Christmas cards next year.
I had made some snowflake marshmallows for some winter hot cocoa too. It seemed like a perfect thing to sit in front of the fireplace and sip hot cocoa in pajamas. The boys loved it. It was just a small thing to do that seemed so fun and special to them. I used this Martha Stewart recipe I found and they turned out really cute. While the marshmallows where sitting, I sprinkled some christmas sprinkles on some of them to make a little extra fun.
It was very fitting that we had a hot cocoa day since this past Wednesday was national hot chocolate day. We just had so much fun. Today we are working on making some cookies for Santa and planning a fun week before Christmas full of Christmas activities. Cheers some hot cocoa and snuggle someone you love while relaxing and remembering the Spirit of Christmas this coming week.
In celebration of Thanksgiving and the end of fall… as all things Christmas will start this weekend (we started this morning with some Kidz Bop Christmas music), I thought I would share our fall/Christmas card pictures. I took them with my tripod and camera on the Monon Trail by our house. I just love walking on the trail with the boys. It is so pretty and they love it too. Sadly I was unable to get Emma in the picture this year. She was very sick and it was something that couldn’t wait too much longer to do. (She is doing much better and back to 100% now) I promise we don’t forget about her.I am hoping to play around/ experiment with photoshop to add in a bit of snow. I would just love to have a snowy Christmas card picture sometime. I’ll let you know how it goes if I get a chance to try. If you guys have any suggestions, tips, or advice on a tutorial for snow in photoshop, please comment! Every year I have done a picture Christmas card, I have used Shutterfly or Tiny Prints (which is shutterfly too) and I have always been very happy with how they turn out. They have a 40% off sale right now so its a good time to order your Christmas cards!
One of the last things I wanted to do before we left Florida was do some family photos on the beach. I wanted to have at least one fun beach session and I just love family pictures. We got a very talented friend of ours to help me out. I love to take pictures but rarely end up in my own. I end up doing alot of tripod set up sessions which has resulted in some really good pictures but is hard to capture cute non-posed pictures.
The sunset cooperated perfectly. (even though we were nervous it was going to keep raining) It was super hot and we were pretty sweaty out there haha. It ended up more than just perfect, it was just what we all needed to put the busyness of life in perspective. Nature and the outdoors of all types has always been my personal sanctuary.
I can’t decide which of the next two I like better… the washed out one or the silhouette one.Haha 😀^The funny one.^
The sky was just on fire at the end! We could not believe how beautiful it was. Such an awesome amazing sight. I love the picture of our good friends. I can’t decide if I like the silhouette style or the lightened one where I can see their faces better so I posted both of them.
We are busy with home renovations here. I can’t wait to have our floors done. They should be just in time for Thanksgiving which I am hosting. I’ve ordered our turkey and put up decorations but thats about it. I have got to get working on everything else now. Yay for Turkey Day! 🙂 I hope you all are getting into all the Holiday spirit too. Until next week, XOXO.
While we were waiting to be able to move into our new house, we stayed with my in-laws up in northern Illinois. We took a day to go with some friends to All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock Illinois. It was fabulous. They had so many fun activities for the kiddos and us adults had a great time too. It was the perfect family day. We picked a ton of delicious apple crisp apples but unfortunately I never got around to making an apple pie or crisp because everyone ate them. I think this weekend I will just buy some from the store to make one. I have been craving it so much!^One of my bbf’s little girl. She just looked so adorable in her red dress picking apples. Makes me think of Snow White.^^Jake took his picking job very seriously. 🙂 ^Then they all discovered the apple eating!
There was ALOT of apple eating…And just alot more fun apple picking pictures because you all know I love pictures.
The rest of the farm had tons of fun activities, food and even a little petting zoo! I was super excited to find a pink tractor… who wouldn’t be!?The boys just love any tractor they see.^Some super super tired little men at the end of the day.^
Hope you all enjoyed my tons of Apple picking pictures. Until next week. XOXO.
It has been the fastest year of my life! How is this little guy already turning one?!! We have quite alot going on right now so Liam’s Wild One birthday party is going be a little later. We did have a little party with just us because I did not want him to feel forgotten about. He’s my wild, curious, climbing, walking, laughing, clapping, temper tantrum throwing, sneaky mister. Happy First Birthday baby Liam!
I wanted to share his monthly photos over the past year. He’s grown and changed so much.
Now it really starts getting hard to continue the laying down pictures…
Here are a few from our mini Birthday celebration. He was not into the smash cake at all but he was tired from everything going on lately.Jake did his best to help show Liam how to properly smash and eat the Birthday cake.
I cannot wait to have a big birthday party for both the boys and invite all our friends! Until next week, XOXO.
We took a little beach day with some friends to Pass A Grille Beach in St. Petersburg Florida. We had been trying to do a beach day for 3 weeks but it kept getting rained out! I was so happy we finally got to make it happen. The boys had a blast at the beach and the weather was gorgeous.
It was a wonderful beautiful beach and even had cute little shops and restaurants across the street from the beach. We liked it so much that I made everyone come back to do some family beach pics. More to come on those pictures later. (They turned out sooo good!) I used the GoPro in the ocean taking these pictures. I have really been having fun playing around with the GoPro.
Hope everyone is enjoying the last little bit of summer… I know I cannot wait for some fall fun this year! Until next week XOXO.
Anndd there goes the hat…There it goes again…^Caught him standing by himself!^Since I have been enjoying photography, I have liked to have little mini holiday photo shoots. I staged this little 4th of July mini shoot with the boys on the front porch. I realized that I didn’t get Jake a patriot t-shirt for the 4th this year when I was changing their clothes right before the pictures. I could have sworn I did too! But I figured what is more American than Cubs baseball anyway. So perfect. I had found some cute little decorations at Target and thought it would be fitting to have the little rocking chair on the front porch. This holiday photo shoot was a bit challenging with wiggly and moving Liam but I think I got some cute pictures.
Since we are finally in a nice schedule and sleeping all night regularly now, I have challenged myself to learn something new. I have decided to try my hand at editing some Go Pro videos. I have been interested in learning how to work with videos and recording some fun video memories with my family. So if anyone has and advice or suggestions on what software to use or which works best or some books or tutorials that are informative, feel free to leave any comments for me.
Hope you all get to watch some fireworks and celebrate our country’s Independence this weekend. Until next week, XOXO.
Since we could not make the trip back to my parent’s house for Father’s Day, I wanted to dedicate a special post to my own dad. He has always been there for me and is a great dad. I hope I can be there for him when he needs me as much as he has always been for me. Good dads always do so much for their families and work hard for them. He always has for us all. He is such a kind and joyful person and has set a great example for us all. And not to forget many words of wisdom he has imparted on me throughout the years… “To much is better than not enough.” (I def live by that one almost daily. haha) I love you so much daddy!
My boys tried their best to hold still and wish their Grandpappy a Happy Father’s Day. (Holding still is not one of their strong suits.)
WE LOVE GRANDPAPPY!!
I hope you know how much we really do love you! Happy Father’s Day daddy!
