Pass A Grille Beach

We took a little beach day with some friends to Pass A Grille Beach in St. Petersburg Florida. We had been trying to do a beach day for 3 weeks but it kept getting rained out! I was so happy we finally got to make it happen. The boys had a blast at the beach and the weather was gorgeous. wavesfamilyfamily2jakeliamliam2liam4beachgroup3

It was a wonderful beautiful beach and even had cute little shops and restaurants across the street from the beach. We liked it so much that I made everyone come back to do some family beach pics. More to come on those pictures later. (They turned out sooo good!) I used the GoPro in the ocean taking these pictures. I have really been having fun playing around with the GoPro.

Hope everyone is enjoying the last little bit of summer… I know I cannot wait for some fall fun this year! Until next week XOXO.

We have had quite alot of big changes going on down here and by blog has taken a back seat for a bit. I have been working through the iMovie learning curve and created this mini movie of some swimming fun. I think it will be nice to have some movies to look back on later of our family.

I have been enjoying the Go Pro but I am not 100% sure what I am doing with it yet. I thought it was a pretty cute mini movie. I have take more footage of family outings lately to make mini movies out of. I am learning new things about video editing as I go just like how I have been learning with my photography. I am always welcome to suggestions/advice/tips or any other ideas.

Until next week, XOXO

Get Outside!!

I love being outside! I am a believer in being very active and I even enjoy all types of weather. I have always said I can handle the most active kids just fine (be careful what you ask for!) and I def have some high energy boys which I LOVE! I promise I am not making that up. haha. I encourage my boys to get out and play everyday so as you can imagine, we spend alot of time outside. I think it’s totally good to let the boys just play and get dirty. We usually go through several outfit changes a day but I know they are getting plenty of exercise. In my dream house, I’d like a mud/laundry room with a mini shower/tub for dogs and kids to hose off before entering the house. (One can dream)

Here are a couple pics from playing in the yard and feeding the fish just the past week.

So make sure you get outside and enjoy the summer!

Family Pictures: Spring 2017

A couple weeks ago I got all my boys and Emma organized to take some family pictures. I did similar pictures when Jake was 6 months old and wanted to do some now that Liam turned 6 months. Our Azalea bushes were in full bloom and made a gorgeous photo background. They turned out so nice… it is not an easy job to get 2 little boys and my doggy baby to all look nice at the same time!IMG_8200

This is my absolute favorite. Already printed it on Shutterfly and is hanging on my photo gallery wall! I just love Jakes little smirk and how Liam is just watching Jake. That’s pretty much how they always are anymore.IMG_8203IMG_8217IMG_8236IMG_8240IMG_8245

My Love! ❤  ❤ ❤IMG_8247IMG_8248

My crazy bunch of boys clean up pretty well. I know they already are annoyed by my picture taking but I love taking these pictures. My ever changing photo gallery wall makes me smile every time I come down the stairs in my house.

I’ve been working on redoing 2 of our bathrooms and organizing my office better. Mostly redecorating and throwing away stuff we don’t need. Operation get rid of our clutter!! It’s a slow process but it’s going.

Until next week, XOXO!

Baby’s First Wagon Ride

Wagon rides are a big hit around here so we were all pretty excited to take Liam on his first wagon ride around the house. He’s getting pretty good at sitting up on his own but he’s still unstable so I packed a moving blanket around him. And you know what, it worked really well. Jake was especially excited to have a wagon riding buddy. I just love seeing them starting to interact and play together now.

Jake was super excited and proud to give his first wagon ride! A super proud big brother!2017-02-23-11-10-202017-02-23-11-10-282017-02-23-11-10-322017-02-23-11-11-50

I thought I would throw in some pictures of Jake and Emma playing together as well. Jake loves to pretend to be a dog and run around with his best friend. Emma loves having a little boy to play with too. I could not stage this cuteness!

My family is my whole life and I love spending everyday with my little squad. I am thankful everyday for my rough and rowdy little family. Even the no napping days (i think…)

Until next week, XOXO.

Family Christmas Card Pictures

A few weeks ago we all traveled up to Indiana for a wedding and visited my parents. My mom and dad own a Christmas tree farm which was super fun to grow up there. Over the past 3 years, I have been pretty sad not to get any Christmas tree farm Christmas card pictures, so I was pretty excited when it worked out that we got to take some family pics. Since it was quite an Indian summer this year a bunch of tree still had fall leaves on them. I loved being able to get some of the beautiful orange leaves in the background too. Everyone cooperated fairly well too… well we bribed with cookies. 🙂 The Christmas season is hard for me living in Florida. I really miss snow, and sweaters and boots and family. It just never feels like its Christmas and the holidays just sneak up on me. added-emma-2

This little Santa helper has gotten all the Christmas shopping done, THANK YOU ONLINE SHOPPING! But I have been busy the past couple weeks with visitors and a sick baby. My little office is just a mess of amazon boxes. Lets hope Santa finds a way to get them all wrapped… hopefully during some good nap times!

Until next week, XOXO. Keep spreading holiday cheer to all! ❤

Back from Summer Vacation

Originally, I was going to continue to write some blog posts while off on vacation visiting family, but with all plans, that did not happen as I thought it would. We had a great time seeing so many friends and family over the past three weeks. Three weeks seems like a long time but was still not enough time to fit everyone in that we would have liked to see. The last week we were visiting, Jake got pretty sick and we even had to take a trip to the ER. That pretty much took the whole week to get him feeling better again. We had lots of cuddle time and Paw Patrol watching. It just about broke my heart in two seeing him so sick. It was the most sick he has ever been.

Even though it was really hard, I snapped this picture while we were in the ER. Very precious.

Yes we piled a toddler, Emma dog and a trunk of stuff in the Tahoe for a TWO day car ride! Yikes! They did good though.

Here are a few of my favorite vacation shots. Mostly of Jake of course…

Fireworks for the 4th of July at Arlington Park Race Track. A very fun activity for kids and families if you are in the area.

A few snaps from an afternoon with a good friend at Kohl Children’s Museum. It was another great place for my little man to run around and explore. He just loved it. I enjoyed him playing doctor. Way to cute!

Now that we are back home, it has been alot of work to get back to our normal schedule. On top of the travel recovery, I have now started extreme nesting. We have a closet to redo, crib to set up, new craft/decorating projects to finish, maternity pictures to take, hospital bag to pack…etc!! It seems like sooooo much right now. Meanwhile, I can’t believe in a few short weeks I will be a mother of TWO little boys! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about how I can take care of two children. It seemed like a good idea 9 months ago! :0

Sandbox Project

We decided to build Jake a sandbox this past weekend. My only request was to have a sun shade over it so Jake and I would not get sun burnt or sun poisoning. My husband did a wonderful job planning it out and building it. I was not too much help with this project this time. First we went to get supplies. Jake was helping every step of the way.

2016-05-28 10.04.392016-05-28 10.04.532016-05-28 10.05.442016-05-28 10.06.25

Next, the hubby put up the sun shade. I wanted to make sure the sandbox was in the shade during the most intense sun of the day. Having the sun shade up would let us see where the shadows fell when putting the box down.

Jake was really into helping use the tools.

2016-05-28 13.27.452016-05-28 13.27.50IMG_5246

The sun shade turned out PERFECT!!

Then it was time to build the box itself.

We put wire on the bottom to keep gophers from digging up into the sandbox. We have a lot of gophers in our yard!IMG_5256

Next, we filled it with lots and lots of sand! That was a hard job!

And we put mulch around the box.

2016-05-30 10.31.50

After that, I requested some little seats on the sides for people to sit on when building and constructing sand works of art.

Time to relax with momma!2016-05-30 17.09.14

There were more detailed measuring, sawing and measuring again steps of course but I took the backseat on this project. The hubby did a wonderful job! I was the project photographer and assistant. I hope you enjoyed reading about our weekend project! Stay tuned for more exciting weekend projects. Until next week, XOXO.

Earth Day!

This week has been super rough. The hubby has been crazy busy with work and Jake got terribly sick. We have not gotten much done this week but cuddles, juice boxes and lots of diaper changes. Today is finally a good day, Jake is feeling much better and I got to put some nice clothes (not yoga pants and t-shirts) on and did my hair! We don’t typically have many weeks like this but it happens. Taking care of a sick kid is way more exhausting than you think.

Since Jake has been feeling better today, we made the most of a beautiful Earth day. I snapped a few pictures outside in our garden while we were playing before nap time. I love being outside, getting fresh air and looking at nature’s beauty. Jake knows how to turn on the garden hose outside and he does it when ever we are outside for more than ten minutes. Thank goodness it is always hot down here or he’d be constantly too cold!

Spring Break 2016

This past week I had a wonderful time with my parents and sisters. They all drove down to visit us in Tampa. We had great weather all week. Hillsborough River State Park is one of our favorite places nearby to go. We had a great time one day there exploring, but I learned a valuable lesson that day, Jake man is not old enough to go somewhere without a stroller! I ended up carrying him for quite a long distance since he did not want anyone else to carry him. I will need to start doing some double stroller research in the next few months! At least I know we will need one now. Any advice is welcome!

2016-03-15 10.42.44

We took my dad to the Ford’s Garage restaurant for lunch one day. It was delicious and cute! He is a huge Ford man, so I knew he would love it… and he did! This photo of my mom and dad is just too adorable not to share!

I took everyone for a beach day at Fort De Soto Beach. I love it. There is so much to explore and the beaches are so nice. I can’t believe how much Jake loves the water now. He would just run right into the ocean and loved the waves. We had crazy sea fog in the morning which was a great opportunity to explore the fort itself. Then the fog cleared and we had a gorgeous day.
