Wild Man Birthday Party

After getting a tiny bit settled into our new house, we threw a birthday party for the boys. We wanted to see all our friends that we haven’t gotten to see in a long time. It was so much fun having so many so close again. My boys are adventurous wild men as I call them. Always getting dirty, climbing things, loving nature and being outside. So I wanted a Wild Man theme. I have seen on pinterest Wild One parties for a first birthday and Young, Wild and Three for third birthdays, so I combined the two into one giant Wild Man birthday party. I had two smash cakes made and cupcakes for the rest of the party people. The Flying Cupcake Bakery did the most wonderful job interpreting my theme into the cupcakes and cakes. I found some shops on etsy for the super cute banners and made my own Wild One cake topper for Liam. I just glued, with wood glue, some wooden letters together from a craft store and let them dry. Then painted them with sparkly golden paint. It was super easy. I think I’ll make custom cake toppers for every birthday cake!20171006_221818

For the Wild Men and their friends, we got a bouncy house and it was a TON of fun! Even us moms and dads wore ourselves out in the bouncy house. Our only family picture we got was not in front of the cute decorations that I planned but instead in the bounce house which was much more fitting to remember this day.

We wanted to thank everyone that came out to celebrate with us. We had so much fun! This week we have been busy with tons of Halloween and fall fun. I cannot wait to share all our new Indiana adventures with you all.

Until next week, XOXO.

All Seasons Orchard

While we were waiting to be able to move into our new house, we stayed with my in-laws up in northern Illinois. We took a day to go with some friends to All Seasons Orchard in Woodstock Illinois. It was fabulous. They had so many fun activities for the kiddos and us adults had a great time too. It was the perfect family day. We picked a ton of delicious apple crisp apples but unfortunately I never got around to making an apple pie or crisp because everyone ate them. I think this weekend I will just buy some from the store to make one. I have been craving it so much!20170916_10415720170916_111222^One of my bbf’s little girl. She just looked so adorable in her red dress picking apples. Makes me think of Snow White.^20170916_111503^Jake took his picking job very seriously. 🙂 ^20170916_11160920170916_11173720170916_111818Then they all discovered the apple eating!

There was ALOT of apple eating…20170916_11183920170916_11203920170916_11304420170916_11305420170916_113829And just alot more fun apple picking pictures because you all know I love pictures.

The rest of the farm had tons of fun activities, food and even a little petting zoo! I was super excited to find a pink tractor… who wouldn’t be!?20170916_13042620170916_130526The boys just love any tractor they see.20170916_11583420170916_12524020170916_12524120170916_134254^Some super super tired little men at the end of the day.^

Hope you all enjoyed my tons of Apple picking pictures. Until next week. XOXO.

Big News…

We packed up and moved up north to Indiana!!! Its been hard to keep up with my blog while getting all this moving stuff done. First selling our Florida house and then working on packing up all our stuff. Running out of room in our 2 moving/storage pods and having to quickly get another and arrange all that again. (Thankfully we had amazing support in Tampa by way of a couple best friends and one amazing brother-in-law) Then both boys got sick as we packed up. Then we had Irma hit Florida before we closed on the Tampa house causing delays in the selling down there which meant pushing back moving into Indiana house. Emma dog of course had to hurt her leg during all of this. And last of all, my wonderful Grandfather passed away. It has been hard on us all. I will miss him dearly but I am glad the cancer is no longer putting him in pain. He was such a great man and helped me through some very rough times in my life. I hope he knew how much he helped me. I do know he was proud of my family and I.

As I am typing this, I am sitting on the floor of our bedroom because we have no chairs yet. We have a air mattress for ourselves and Jake is in his sleeping bag. Liam lucked out the best because he has his pack n play. And Emma and Tiny have their own beds. (Since originally typing this post we now have furniture and are more situated. I wanted to include pictures and could not access them for a while. I take quite alot of pictures and my hubby has to come up with creative solutions to organizing and storing them digitally. Right now they are all a mess which is the main reason I haven’t been able to post. I have quite a bit of catching up to do now!)

Here are some fun epic moving journey photos from the past month that I hope you enjoy.20170815_133421^Packing up and moving out^20170821_143753^Our two moving pods that we ran out of space in and had to get a third!^20170824_132949

Last morning in Tampa called for some Mini Doughnut Factory donuts. They are just the cutest and very tasty too!20170824_11245320170824_113041

The boys and I have arrived in Indy! signal-2017-08-10-105115^My hubby took this picture on one of his house hunting trips so it wasn’t really from us flying in but isn’t it a cool photo?^20170825_171200-2^Our Y on Indy got cut off a bit but you get the idea.^

After several weeks of living in uncertainty…we have a new home!moving7moving^Let the unpacking begin.^moving3^Lunch on a storage tote because we had no table or chairs unpacked yet. So classy!^

During our homeless period of life, we took a mini trip to Colorado and went to this wonderful farm to go apple picking. It was so much fun. I cannot wait to get back into a normal schedule and internet back to share our adventures. I still have some awesome family beach photos to finish as well. Yay for getting my photos back! I am also quite excited for our new midwest adventures and home reno adventures to come! This weekend we are celebrating both boys’ birthdays and I am super excited for that too. Love you all.

Until next week. (For real this time) XOXO.

Liam is One!

It has been the fastest year of my life! How is this little guy already turning one?!! We have quite alot going on right now so Liam’s Wild One birthday party is going be a little later. We did have a little party with just us because I did not want him to feel forgotten about. He’s my wild, curious, climbing, walking, laughing, clapping, temper tantrum throwing, sneaky mister. Happy First Birthday baby Liam!

I wanted to share his monthly photos over the past year. He’s grown and changed so much.

Now it really starts getting hard to continue the laying down pictures…

IMG_8791Here are a few from our mini Birthday celebration. He was not into the smash cake at all but he was tired from everything going on lately.IMG_8799IMG_8824IMG_8804IMG_8821IMG_8820Jake did his best to help show Liam how to properly smash and eat the Birthday cake. IMG_8819IMG_8823IMG_8827

I cannot wait to have a big birthday party for both the boys and invite all our friends! Until next week, XOXO.

Pass A Grille Beach

We took a little beach day with some friends to Pass A Grille Beach in St. Petersburg Florida. We had been trying to do a beach day for 3 weeks but it kept getting rained out! I was so happy we finally got to make it happen. The boys had a blast at the beach and the weather was gorgeous. wavesfamilyfamily2jakeliamliam2liam4beachgroup3

It was a wonderful beautiful beach and even had cute little shops and restaurants across the street from the beach. We liked it so much that I made everyone come back to do some family beach pics. More to come on those pictures later. (They turned out sooo good!) I used the GoPro in the ocean taking these pictures. I have really been having fun playing around with the GoPro.

Hope everyone is enjoying the last little bit of summer… I know I cannot wait for some fall fun this year! Until next week XOXO.

Water

We have had quite alot of big changes going on down here and by blog has taken a back seat for a bit. I have been working through the iMovie learning curve and created this mini movie of some swimming fun. I think it will be nice to have some movies to look back on later of our family.

I have been enjoying the Go Pro but I am not 100% sure what I am doing with it yet. I thought it was a pretty cute mini movie. I have take more footage of family outings lately to make mini movies out of. I am learning new things about video editing as I go just like how I have been learning with my photography. I am always welcome to suggestions/advice/tips or any other ideas.

Until next week, XOXO

Happy Fourth Of July 2017

IMG_8605IMG_8607IMG_8608IMG_8617IMG_8620IMG_8621Anndd there goes the hat…IMG_8623IMG_8625There it goes again…IMG_8626IMG_8627^Caught him standing by himself!^IMG_8629IMG_8630IMG_8631Since I have been enjoying photography, I have liked to have little mini holiday photo shoots. I staged this little 4th of July mini shoot with the boys on the front porch. I realized that I didn’t get Jake a patriot t-shirt for the 4th this year when I was changing their clothes right before the pictures. I could have sworn I did too! But I figured what is more American than Cubs baseball anyway. So perfect. I had found some cute little decorations at Target and thought it would be fitting to have the little rocking chair on the front porch. This holiday photo shoot was a bit challenging with wiggly and moving Liam but I think I got some cute pictures.

Since we are finally in a nice schedule and sleeping all night regularly now, I have challenged myself to learn something new. I have decided to try my hand at editing some Go Pro videos. I have been interested in learning how to work with videos and recording some fun video memories with my family. So if anyone has and advice or suggestions on what software to use or which works best or some books or tutorials that are informative, feel free to leave any comments for me.

Hope you all get to watch some fireworks and celebrate our country’s Independence this weekend. Until next week, XOXO.

Father’s Day Painting

For Father’s Day we painted a cute little beer crate. I know painting can be super messy but with these Toddler Finger Paints, clean up is a breeze. Liam is still a bit small to enjoy the paints or use them without trying to eat the paint. Thankfully it is nontoxic. Jake really gets into the painting and all the different colors. He was so proud he painted all the screws in the beer crate for dad. IMG_8567IMG_8569IMG_8571

20170616_114027

After Liam failed at painting, he got put in charge of coloring the card the boys picked out. He also tried to eat the crayons too. IMG_8575IMG_8576IMG_8556IMG_8554

We got some balloons and Jake was sooooo excited about them. He even asked me to take his picture with the balloons. I knew he would be too excited about them to keep it a secret. 20170616_113218The Father’s Day pool party I planned got rained out but everything the boys and I made for dad was a big hit.20170618_153138Delicious mini cuban appetizers. 20170618_19462620170618_161543^It was starting to storm and Jake has been so scared of thunder lately. This ended up the best daddy and boys picture we could get.^20170618_185059

It was so much fun celebrating such a great daddy. Until next week, XOXO!

Get Outside!!

I love being outside! I am a believer in being very active and I even enjoy all types of weather. I have always said I can handle the most active kids just fine (be careful what you ask for!) and I def have some high energy boys which I LOVE! I promise I am not making that up. haha. I encourage my boys to get out and play everyday so as you can imagine, we spend alot of time outside. I think it’s totally good to let the boys just play and get dirty. We usually go through several outfit changes a day but I know they are getting plenty of exercise. In my dream house, I’d like a mud/laundry room with a mini shower/tub for dogs and kids to hose off before entering the house. (One can dream)

Here are a couple pics from playing in the yard and feeding the fish just the past week.

20170530_10314420170607_170342(0)20170607_170541Recently we’ve been making a few trips to Lettuce Lake Park nearby us. They have a fun playground and some little trails for the little hikers. 20170605_10420320170605_104412 (2)

Hiking morning with my boys. Can’t wait to go back and bring Dad next time! 20170608_110145_00120170608_11034920170608_11040120170608_11040520170608_110409 We’ve got quite a bit of big things happening in the next couple of weeks and I see alot more mini hiking trips in our future. So make sure you get outside and enjoy the summer!

Until next week, XOXO.

9 Months

The past 9 months seem to have flown by in a heartbeat. This little wild man is even more wiggly and mobile than his older brother was! He is one super fast crawling machine and pulling up on everything. He learned to clap and give high fives. He is finally sleeping all night. He is getting his 7th tooth. Since he started moving, he has not slowed down one bit. He loves his big brother and looks up to him so much. Watching them develop their brother relationship makes my heart sooo happy. He hates anytime someone tries to clean his face off (He is always super dirty) and getting his face wet. He is already becoming very independent and insists on feeding himself at meal times. That makes him even more messy!

I was only able to get one good monthly picture this month. Here are some out takes that really do highlight his inability to sit still!!

IMG_8542^All that I got was his little toes! He’s so FAST! So typical!^

IMG_8551^Even tried to let him stand for one and as you can see; It’s blurry.^

My crazy fast wild man… I love him so!

I will have to start planning a first birthday soon. Until next week, XOXO.
