Staying Fit While Pregnant

I wanted to share some of my favorite ways to try to stay fit while pregnant. Obviously maintaining a healthy pregnancy and delivering a healthy baby is the most important. This whole pregnancy I have tried to work out at least 5 times a week. The further along I am, the more I like a good prenatal yoga flow. I have found several on Youtube that I like to do from home. Doing an at home workout is much easier for me to make time for with two kids to take care of already.

Here are several prenatal yoga flows that I find beneficial and enjoyable.

I also do kegel workouts almost everyday. They really help with bladder control and delivery. Here is a beginners kegel video if you need help.

I actually use a pregnancy app that has kegel workouts everyday in it.

I also switch off between yoga and 30 minute walks for my daily workouts to keep me from getting to bored with the same things over and over again.

Not to forget there is always time for some indulgence and cravings while sticking to mostly healthy eating habits. I find giving in every once in a while helps to stay on track. Ben and Jerry’s is my favorite sweet treat!
