Last weekend we threw a surprise birthday party for my mom. It was such a great time. I have to say how much I love being closer to family and friends now. I would have never been able to do this as easy. It was a special little party… at least I thought so and I hope everyone else thought so too. My mom is such a wonderful caring person that I look up to. She has always been a wonderful mother so we wanted to do something nice for her. My little sister came up with the idea and I let my creative side flow. 🙂 We went with a purple and gold theme. My mom’s favorite color is purple and I am loving pops of gold lately, so I thought they would look good together. Here are a few pics of the decorations we made. The boys were so excited to help make pretty things for Granny’s birthday party.
We made cute purple flower birthday numbers…
And a cute rustic chic blessed sign…
Then we made a ombre cake with this cookies and cream cake recipe…
I just wanted to end with a final Happy (real) Birthday weekend to my very wonderful mama. Happy Birthday!
Until next week, XOXO.
Love the decorations. Such a fun idea that the kids can participate in making. Did you hot glue the flowers ?
Love your mama dearly – she is an amazing person.
yes we got glued the flowers to it. Jake was sooo into the hot glue gun. He’s actually taken it as his own toy. haha
