Jake’s First Birthday

Let’s just say things did not turn out exactly how I pictured it would for Jake man’s birthday. It was good we live so far away, so not many people had to see my dripping failed cupcake icing. I thought you all would enjoy knowing not everything turns out Pinterest Perfect. Haha. Besides my failed cupcake icing (which on the plus side, I could blame on the Florida heat and humidity); my mom and dad had quite a bit of traffic coming from Indiana and they pretty much missed most of the afternoon. But we were very happy they arrived safe and sound. We waited to do the cake smash until they made it down. It would not be fun for grandma and grandpa to miss the cake smash. The late evening  and rain really made some bad lighting for cake smash pictures but I think I got a few good ones. Most importantly Jake had a wonderful time. He got to play in his new splash pad, then splash in some mud the splash pad made, lots of swimming, tasty treats, and lots of playing with his cousin!
